During the night, Russian missile and drone strikes have led to electricity outages in extensive areas of Ukraine's capital, the Ukrainian capital.
Several individuals were wounded while local people in eastern neighborhoods were experienced blackouts and faced interruptions to water supplies, per reports from city officials.
Simultaneously, a minor was lost their life in a distinct assault in the Zaporizhzhia area in the country's south-east, based on information from area administrators.
Moscow has escalated assaults on electrical systems over the last fortnight, while the country's government has requested "concrete actions" from allies to apply pressure on Moscow.
"The necessity is not superficial actions but firm measures - from the United States, the EU and the Group of Seven - in delivering defensive weapons and applying sanctions," was stated in a social media post.
Authorities reported that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and over thirty projectiles struck Ukraine's energy infrastructure, labeling such assaults as "strategic and deliberate" and against "essential services" as winter approaches.
Government representatives said Moscow was "launching a major assault" and maintenance teams were laboring to fix the damage.
A series of attacks struck power facilities and civilian homes in the capital.
Several of the people injured in the attacks on the city have been taken to hospital, per statements from local officials.
Area administrators said the urban area endured significant strikes during nighttime hours. A seven-year-old child lost their life and several individuals were wounded.
The attacks succeed evenings of bombing campaigns in the area, portions of which remain under the control of Moscow's military.
The entire country is under warning for advanced weapon attacks, which are more difficult to detect.
Authorities told reporters that Moscow was purposely seeking to demolish the country's energy grid, with strikes already impacting energy systems.
Officials stated energy workers and officials were preparing for additional strikes.
